British-German defence company Hypersonica has secured €100 million in Series B funding to accelerate development of its hypersonic deep-strike systems. Lightspeed and General Catalyst co-led the round, with participation from existing investors including Plural and 201 Ventures. The company will use the capital to increase testing, expand European operations and manufacturing, and create hundreds of engineering and manufacturing jobs across the UK and Germany. Following its €23.3 million Series A in February 2026, Hypersonica tested its HS-1 prototype at speeds above Mach 6 over a range exceeding 300 kilometres. Hypersonica targets full development of its systems by 2029 while building capacity for production at scale.
