OpenAI has introduced Computer History, an opt-in ChatGPT desktop-app feature for macOS that records events and interactions, including clicks and keystrokes, to create a timeline for an AI agent.

The source says the feature can help an agent learn work patterns, continue started tasks and suggest automations. It automatically excludes incognito and private browser content, lets users blacklist apps, and provides a database of recorded memory for review and deletion. OpenAI warns that the files can contain sensitive information and are not encrypted.
