OpenAI asked a judge to rule in its favor before trial on SpaceXAI's antitrust claims over its Apple partnership, according to a court filing reported by 9to5Mac. In the filing, OpenAI also said ChatGPT use through Apple Intelligence had fallen short of its expectations.

OpenAI said it expected the 2024 deal to bring users and subscriptions, but cut its forecasts a month after the integration launched. It said the integration was dramatically underperforming by summer 2025. The ChatGPT option was turned off by default, a possible reason for slow adoption. The case is set for trial in January.
