Descartes buys warehouse platform Extensiv for $120 million Image: Primary
Descartes Systems Group said it acquired Extensiv, a warehouse-management and fulfillment technology provider, for $120 million using cash on hand. Extensiv serves third-party logistics providers with inventory-management and order-fulfillment software, including AI tools that use omnichannel data to support warehouse decisions. Descartes said the acquisition adds operational data and fulfillment intelligence to its logistics network. The deal follows Descartes' $100 million acquisition of transportation-management provider Tai last week and extends its warehousing, inventory-management and ecommerce-fulfillment offerings.
