# Cognition's annualized revenue reaches $1 billion pace, source says

Cognition AI is on track for $1 billion in annualized revenue based on its performance this month, Bloomberg reports, citing a person familiar with the matter. The pace roughly doubles the AI coding startup's run rate from about four months earlier.

Cognition said earlier in September that its run-rate revenue had topped $900 million, driven by demand for its Devin coding software. Annualized revenue projects a full year of sales from a shorter period; it is not a tally of sales already completed.
