OpenAI adds reusable cloud environments and security scans to Codex

OpenAI announced reusable cloud development environments for Codex, letting developers resume work across devices with shared settings and permissions. Codex could already run remote tasks, but those tasks previously used separate cloud environments. The company also introduced Codex Security Cloud, which can scan GitHub repositories on demand, on a schedule or after new commits, then investigate findings and prepare fixes in the cloud. A revised command-line tool adds voice control and a view for delegating and tracking multiple tasks. The security tools prepare fixes; the report does not say they apply them automatically.
