Bitdeer has acquired a 200-acre parcel near its Rockdale, Texas, data center for $100 million, intending to develop AI and high-performance-computing infrastructure alongside existing operations. The land was part of a former Alcoa aluminum-smelting site and adjoins Bitdeer's current facility. Bitdeer says the combined sites have access to 563MW of interconnected grid capacity, with potential expansion to 742MW, while Texas is auditing interconnection requests under a pause on new data-center development.
