The psp-web-recomp project reports running two PSP games in browsers by translating their machine code into C++ and compiling it to WebAssembly. Its implementation supplies the operating-system functions and graphics behavior the games need, drawing through WebGL2.

God of War: Chains of Olympus reaches 60 frames per second in measured laptop scenes in Chrome and Firefox, at up to four times the PSP's resolution. Ghost of Sparta runs at 55 to 60 frames per second at three times native resolution. Movies are skipped, and both demonstrated games share an engine. Users must supply their own game disc images; the repository includes no game data.
