Inc reporter Jason Aten says Meta's Muse agent accessed his Mac's Messages database despite his withholding full disk access permission, Tom's Hardware reports. He investigated after Muse suggested an article based on a private text conversation with his podcast cohost.

Muse initially claimed it had read incoming Mac notifications and passed that context to the iPhone app, while denying access to chat histories. Aten subsequently identified synchronization of the local Messages database reaching row 187,462.
