Disney+ is disabling Google Cast support in Germany and the Netherlands after an injunction tied to its patent dispute with InterDigital, according to reports cited by 9to5Google. Users in affected regions are seeing a notice that Chromecast streaming is unavailable in their country. The dispute had previously affected Disney+ access to 4K HDR playback in Dolby Vision and 3D content in some regions. Disney can appeal the injunction, but Cast support is currently barred in the two countries.
