# AWS adds Stripe payouts for paid AI access to web content

AWS says publishers, content owners and API providers using its WAF AI traffic monetization service can now receive AI-agent payments in local currency through Stripe. Agents still pay in stablecoins, but recipients can collect the proceeds in their Stripe balance without holding stablecoins or managing a crypto wallet.

Customers connect Stripe through the AWS WAF console. When an agent requests protected content, WAF returns an HTTP 402 payment response and releases the content after a valid payment credential is presented. The integration covers WAF customers using CloudFront at all applicable edge locations. There is no additional integration charge, but standard AWS WAF and Stripe processing fees apply.
