Apple made its new Mac mini and Mac Studio desktops available through its stores and online channels on September 22. The Mac mini starts at $899 with an M6 processor, while the Mac Studio starts at $2,499 with M5 Max and $5,499 with M5 Ultra.

The Mac Studio can be configured with as much as 512GB of unified memory and 1.2TB per second of memory bandwidth, and Thunderbolt 5 allows multiple systems to be clustered for distributed AI inference. The 512GB configuration will not arrive until late October, and Apple's comparative performance figures are company claims.
