Enersol announced Wednesday that its portfolio company EV has acquired Houston-based Scientific Data Systems, developer of the Warrior Data Acquisition System used across the global energy industry, Enersol said. The acquisition combines SDS's data acquisition technologies with EV's visualization, data delivery and analytics capabilities. The integration will enable customers to access a more connected workflow from data collection and interpretation to visualization, analytics and long-term data management. SDS has more than 30 years of experience supporting wellbore data acquisition. Its Warrior platform is recognized for interoperability with logging tools from multiple manufacturers and aligns with EV's focus on open and integrated solutions for the energy sector. Enersol CEO Dean Watson said the acquisition is a strong example of the firm's strategy of investing in differentiated energy technology companies and accelerating growth through strategic expansion. Watson said combining EV's advanced visual analytics technologies with SDS's data acquisition capabilities strengthens a platform that helps customers better capture, understand and act on critical well data.
