Instagram announced Thursday that its Edits video editor is coming to Mac, extending its creator tools to desktop projects. The company says users can publish directly to Instagram with tagging and location features, avoiding transfers between desktop and mobile before posting.

The editor includes a multi-track timeline, keyframes, automatic captions in multiple languages and watermark-free 4K exports. Saved mobile audio and text styles sync to desktop. Seamlessly editing the same project across desktop and mobile remains a feature the company is developing.
