Italy's competition authority, the AGCM, opened an investigation into AI music company Suno over terms it says may be unfair under Italian consumer law. The authority questioned provisions allowing unilateral changes to subscriptions and prices, and account closures without notice that could also remove stored songs.

The AGCM also challenged the breadth of Suno's licence to use customer content and requirements that users waive moral rights governing credit and treatment of their work. It raised concerns over US arbitration and exclusive Massachusetts court jurisdiction. A public consultation will allow recognised consumer groups, trade associations and chambers of commerce to participate.
