Google DeepMind releases Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber to trusted defenders via Fairwind

Google DeepMind releases Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber to trusted defenders via Fairwind Image: Primary
Google DeepMind introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, a model built to find and fix software vulnerabilities, and made it available to a group of trusted defenders through its Fairwind Program, an early-access security release rather than a general feature. DeepMind says the model searches complex codebases across 20 programming languages, identifies hidden weaknesses and produces validated code fixes. The company reports an 86.2 percent result on the CyberGym Pass@1 vulnerability-discovery benchmark and a 47.2 percent Pass@1 on CWE-Bench for patching, vendor-published evaluations that DeepMind says place it near the top of the cost-performance curve. DeepMind also cites stronger resistance to prompt-injection attacks in its Gray Swan evaluation.
