# AWS adds deployment notifications to managed Argo CD service

_Published Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 1:08 PM EST · Infrastructure · Latest · Tier 2 — Notable_

AWS says its Amazon EKS Capability for Argo CD now supports notifications when applications sync, fail or change health. Users can route these deployment events to 16 services, including Slack, PagerDuty, Amazon SQS and Amazon EventBridge.

SQS and EventBridge authenticate through the capability's AWS identity role, allowing deployment events to trigger workflows without storing credentials in the cluster. For services requiring third-party credentials, EKS can retrieve them through an AWS Secrets Manager reference.

Notifications are available wherever the EKS Capability for Argo CD operates, at no additional charge. Standard charges still apply to resources used by the destination services.
