A Caltech-led team reported that an AI-assisted framework for generating election "pre-bunking" articles mitigated a decline in election confidence caused by rumors among sampled voters. In a pre-registered study of more than 4,000 registered voters before the 2024 election, participants received material addressing one of five election myths or an unrelated AI-generated article. The researchers said the effect remained measurable one week later and released a public demonstration that drafts pre-bunks from trusted factual material.
