Google announced a series of artificial intelligence updates in July spanning developer tools, consumer features, and public safety initiatives. The company said it released three new Gemini models, Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber, designed for higher token efficiency and lower latency in production AI agents. Google also launched Gemini Robotics ER 2, an embodied reasoning model for robotics developers, and made AlphaEvolve, a Gemini-powered code-optimization agent, generally available to Google Cloud customers on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. For consumers, the company introduced Gemini Intelligence capabilities on new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8 devices and added a native migration experience in Android 17 for transferring data from iPhones. Google expanded Gemini Spark to handle complex web errands using logged-in accounts and updated Google Vids with Gemini Omni and personal avatars for video creation. The company also announced Lyria 3.5, a new music generation model powering Google Flow Music. Google partnered with BlackRock, Carhartt, and Ford to launch the Alliance for America's Skilled Trades to build a stronger workforce pipeline. The company said NOAA is using Google Cloud H4D virtual machines to modernize weather forecasting supercomputing. Google DeepMind technology was used to reconstruct Pelé's 1959 goal, and the company celebrated 25 years of Google Images with a new browseable home and AI Overviews image generation.
