Apple has changed its Siri AI access instructions so downloads begin automatically, with a waitlist used only during high demand, 9to5Mac reported. Previously, enabling the feature in iOS 27 placed users on a waitlist before the download could start.

The updated support document directs users to select "Try Siri AI (Beta)" in Settings. It warns that high demand may still put users on a waitlist and that waiting times can vary.
