More than $2 billion in Ethereum and tokens left Binance hot wallets on October 29 for a newly created address, BeInCrypto reported, citing Etherscan data. Binance said it was investigating reports of a potential security issue and had not confirmed any impact to user funds.

At 20:24 UTC, Binance 14 transferred 167,464 ETH and 63 tokens. Binance 16 sent another 28,005 ETH to the same address 24 seconds later. A wallet funded through Tornado Cash triggered the transfer. The outflow could represent wallet maintenance; a theft had not been confirmed.
