Anthropic in talks to add Nvidia as anchor investor in record IPO

Anthropic is in talks to bring Nvidia in as an anchor investor in its initial public offering, according to Reuters, which cited two people familiar with the matter. The report says the offering could be the largest IPO in history. The talks are ongoing and no agreement has been announced. The reported arrangement would place a leading supplier of AI accelerators inside the shareholder base of a major model developer, linking the two sides of the AI compute supply chain through equity rather than procurement alone.
