GitLab says goal-driven flows in its Duo Agent Platform can carry a software task through review, tests, security scans and approvals without manual prompts between stages. The flows are available on GitLab.com, Self-Managed and Dedicated for Premium and Ultimate customers.

Users define an objective through Duo CLI, headless mode or Agentic Chat. A separate model checks progress against the goal, and users can stop or redirect a run. The flows operate under the user's identity and policy.

They require GitLab 19.3 or later and Duo CLI 9.17.0 or later. Custom Flows are generally available; GitLab for Slack and the MCP server will become generally available later this month.
