Beam Global signed a definitive agreement to acquire drone company ScoutDI for approximately $24 million in cash and common stock, the company announced Wednesday. Sellers can receive additional payments tied to ScoutDI's 2026 and 2027 revenue. ScoutDI supplies drones and AI-enhanced software for industrial settings, including confined spaces, with technology deployed across 30 countries. Beam plans to manufacture the drones at its U.S. and European facilities. ScoutDI chief Nicolai Husteli will remain in charge after the acquisition, which is expected to close in November 2026 subject to customary conditions.
