# Pearson acquires Internet Testing Systems

Pearson has acquired Baltimore-based Internet Testing Systems, adding remote proctoring, secure test delivery, performance-based assessment and continuous certification technology to its professional assessment business. Financial terms were not disclosed.

ITS will join Pearson Professional Assessments after a commercial relationship between the companies dating to 2009. Its platform lets testing and certification organizations develop, deliver, manage and report on professional assessments, including AI-assisted tools. Pearson said the combination will broaden its services for organizations verifying professional skills and give ITS access to Pearson's international distribution.
