Grok build open source

SpaceXAI said it has open-sourced Grok Build, its coding agent and text-based user interface, publishing the source code on GitHub. The company said publishing the code is the most direct way to build toward a reliable harness and allows users to read the source to see exactly how it works, from context assembly to tool-call dispatch. SpaceXAI said open-sourcing also makes the harness easier to explore and extend for those working with skills, plugins, hooks, MCP servers, or subagents, as the source serves as the definitive reference for how each is loaded and invoked. The company said Grok Build can now run fully local-first, allowing users to compile it themselves, point it at their own local inference, and drive everything from a config.toml file. The published source is available on GitHub.
