Xicoia's Talking Tilly video-call service requires callers worldwide to complete an automated age check before a first call.

Didit analyzes a video selfie to estimate age, with government photo ID as a fallback when the result is unclear, according to Xicoia's terms. The company says the check cannot be skipped and it retains an approximate age band and reference number. Calls are also recorded, transcribed and processed by U.S. providers; the service says camera and voice analysis infers callers' emotional state during calls.
