Lola Vision Systems will license its software for existing hardware to generate revenue before its own chips become available, founder Tayo Adesanya told TechCrunch. The software translates a customer's code and AI model into instructions that the customer's chip can execute, supporting models that are custom-built or open source.

The company says it has one signed customer and a dozen corporate customers that have signed letters expressing interest in buying its chips once available. Adesanya said Lola Vision has raised just over $1 million in total funding.
