Colleferro's city council has approved construction of an AI data center proposed by Cobra Green Hyperscale in Lazio, central Italy. The project has a 150MW grid allocation from operator Terna, planned solar panels capable of 34MW, and a 5.7-hectare site designed for server buildings and offices. Cobra Green Hyperscale expects the facility to employ 220 people when complete, while construction is expected to begin in 2027. The company still needs final approval from the Italian government.
