Yandex urges alternative disaster recovery as cloud outages persist

Yandex urges alternative disaster recovery as cloud outages persist Image: Primary
Yandex says drone attacks damaged three data centers, shutting down two facilities and degrading operations at a third. BleepingComputer reports that customers face cloud service outages, with some unable to access stored files. The facilities in Sasovo, Kaluga and Vladimir were attacked on October 8, 9 and 11, respectively. Yandex has urged customers to use alternative infrastructure for disaster recovery because its remaining resources are unstable. Compute, AI Studio and security services are partially available, while Monium remains offline. Other services, including databases and storage, are available with some performance or availability issues. Yandex cannot give a reliable restoration timeline, and whether stored data has been irreversibly lost remains unclear.
