YouTube Music begins labeling tracks made primarily with AI

Simulated screenshots of the YouTube Music app showing where the AI label and info will be Image: Primary
YouTube began rolling out labels for tracks made primarily with generative AI in its YouTube Music app, The Verge reported. The labels will expand to the main YouTube app later. Music partners must disclose qualifying generative AI use, including using a model to create composition and vocals. YouTube says it also uses detection tools and may rely on other signals when uploaders do not disclose that use. Listeners can tap the label on the player page to see more information. The policy targets music in which AI played a significant role, rather than every use of AI tools in production.
