OpenAI rolls out GPT-6 Astra for API and platform access Image: Primary
OpenAI released GPT-6 Astra, initially to a limited group of organizations, with planned access for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users and developers through the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure and AWS Bedrock. The company highlighted 3D modeling and spatial reasoning, and reported a 95.9% mean voxel-IoU score on its BenchCAD test when the model used tools. OpenAI said the tested configuration had lower estimated API cost than GPT-5.6 Sol and Claude Fable 5.1. The benchmark used multi-view renders, not production parts.
