# Nvidia makes cuObject storage libraries generally available

Nvidia announced general availability of cuObject client and server libraries for accelerated access to object storage. The software uses remote direct memory access to transfer data without routing it through CPU-controlled memory, giving developers shared APIs and a wire protocol instead of provider-specific integrations.

A new SCADA Server SDK lets storage providers respond to requests initiated by GPUs. IBM has demonstrated a Storage Scale prototype, while publication of repository code and protocol materials awaits production-stack conformance tests.
