Homeland Security sought removal of a website offering a searchable copy of leaked employee records through a takedown notice sent by its security vendor ZeroFox, TechCrunch reported. The search site was offline Thursday morning, and its domain carried a serverHold status.

DDoSecrets co-founder Emma Best said the registrar had taken the site down. The notice asked the registrar to stop serving personal contact and location data. Best disputes that characterization, saying the dataset contains professional contact information rather than home addresses or personal contacts.

The action follows Bluesky's blocking of links to DDoSecrets. The domain host did not confirm whether a government demand prompted the suspension; the search site's creator also made a version accessible locally on users' computers.
