Houston-based Buildforce said it raised $10 million in Series A funding led by Saepio Capital, with participation from new investor Blue Heron Capital and existing investors including Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, S3 Ventures, and Chicago Ventures, according to a company announcement carried by PR Newswire.

The company said the capital will support continued national expansion and further development of its technology for electricians and electrical contractors. Founded in 2019, Buildforce connects electricians with contractors on commercial and industrial construction projects through a mobile app for workers and a web application for contractors.

Buildforce said its electricians have logged over 2,000,000 hours on over 2,000 commercial construction projects. CEO and co-founder Moody Heard called the financing a major milestone for the company's mission in the construction trades.

Saepio Capital managing partner Jaan Bains said Buildforce is capitalizing on America's infrastructure buildout. Blue Heron Capital principal Nick Graziano cited demand driven by data center construction, infrastructure investment, and the energy transition, and described Buildforce as a purpose-built labor marketplace with workflow integrations beyond job posting. The company is based in Houston and Austin, Texas.
