Bengaluru AI startup Sarvam is set to raise about $75 million from Nvidia, Glade Brook Capital, Gaja Capital, and IndiGo Ventures as part of its ongoing Series B, The New Indian Express reported. The tranche is part of a larger $300-310 million round valuing the company at about $1.5 billion. The latest slice follows a June first close of $234 million led by HCLTech and Bessemer Venture Partners, with Khosla Ventures and Peak XV Partners also participating. Sarvam had aimed to complete a $300 million round after an initial $250 million target. Earlier reports said Nvidia and Glade Brook were expected in the remaining portion after HCLTech committed about $150 million and Bessemer about $50 million. Founded in 2023 by Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar, Sarvam builds foundation models, AI infrastructure, and enterprise products with a focus on Indian languages. At the first close it said capital would support next-generation frontier models, including agentic, coding, and cybersecurity work, plus compute and enterprise deployments. The Express said Sarvam has IndiaAI Mission support and access to subsidised Nvidia H100 GPUs through Yotta Data Services.
