Aptoide becomes available through Google Play in the US
Image: Primary Aptoide can now be installed through its own section of Google Play on devices using the US version of the store, according to heise.
The Portuguese app store, which focuses on games, previously required sideloading. The change follows the court-ordered remedy in Google's Epic antitrust case requiring Google to allow alternative app stores in the US. Heise reports that Google is making the installation process available without the earlier sideloading hurdle, while broader changes to Android's app-distribution system are also planned.
