# Tsinghua platform opens AI drug screening on Tianhe

Tsinghua University's Galaxy VS platform is open free to researchers worldwide and combines AI with China's Tianhe exascale supercomputer for virtual drug screening, CGTN reported.

The platform hosts more than 100 billion virtual molecules and millions of protein targets. A senior engineer said a full screening against the 100-billion-molecule collection took less than one second per target after code optimization for Tianhe. The report said early validation with drugmakers matched laboratory results with high accuracy, while clinical translation remains untested.
