Mexican authorities seize alleged Puebla crypto farm with 300 GPUs

GPU mining Image: Primary
Mexican federal authorities, the Navy and state police seized an alleged clandestine cryptocurrency-mining operation in Tlaola, Puebla, Reuters reported. Authorities recovered about 300 GPUs, 80 medium-voltage terminations, a transformer and eight satellite antennas. The operation likely drew electricity by secretly tapping into the grid near the Presa de Necaxa hydroelectric dam, according to the report. Reuters said this was the fourth crypto farm authorities had uncovered in the region since early last year. The report did not say how investigators located the facility or identify its operators.
