Autobase 2.12 spreads cloud database nodes across availability zones by default

Autobase has released version 2.12 of its PostgreSQL management platform, making distribution across multiple availability zones the default when provisioning clusters on AWS, GCP and Azure. The project says this reduces the impact of a failure in a single zone. The release also supports connections through SSH jump hosts, allowing administrators to manage database servers in private networks without direct SSH access. An integration with AWS Secrets Manager lets Autobase export and store secrets centrally. Built-in dashboards use the Netdata agent, although Autobase says they are intended to complement an existing monitoring system.
