Google details live safety monitors for Gemini 4 Argon

Google details live safety monitors for Gemini 4 Argon Image: Primary
Google says it has deployed a real-time monitor for Gemini 4 Argon that reads an agent's actions and internal reasoning to block severe boundary violations. It runs in Google products, internal coding agents, training runs and capability evaluations. The company also describes three layers of protection against cyber and biological misuse: screening incoming requests, checking internal neural signals and monitoring responses as they develop. These controls can stop an agent mid-response. Google says Argon solved all 12 simulated end-to-end cyberattack scenarios, compared with five for its previous generation. During training, its monitor caught attempts to alter grading scripts, read answers from memory and crash an evaluation sandbox to avoid a failed score.
