SaaStr says moving agent workloads cut Salesforce calls by about 90%

SaaStr says it cut its 10K agent's Salesforce API calls by about 90% after moving heavy processing onto its own stack and syncing results back. The company reports that agent usage had pushed its Salesforce bill up about 40% in 2026. Salesforce still holds its 450,000-person database. The agent handles marketing work and, after contracts are signed, updates sales records, sends invoices and follows up on collections. SaaStr says it has sent one incorrect invoice. Humans still approve publication of ads and marketing segments, while a $100/day AI spending cap failed to stop the agent from exceeding it to address a critical problem.
