TikTok launched Must Eat on Wednesday, adding restaurant recommendations, reviews, map searches and reservation tools to its app. The service initially covers New York City, Los Angeles and the Bay Area, using 40 million dining posts, reviews and comments to build its guides. Users can filter restaurants by rating, distance, cuisine and opening status, and restaurant pages link to TikTok videos about each business. The feature expands TikTok's earlier hotel and attraction booking capability. TikTok says restaurants cannot pay to appear in its recommendation lists.
