Amazon made an updated Echo Dot available today for $99.99 with a built-in smart home hub supporting Zigbee, Matter and Thread, The Verge reported. The speaker uses Amazon's AZ3 chip, adds a fourth microphone and includes an Eero Wi-Fi extender that Amazon says can add up to 1,000 square feet of coverage. Amazon also announced a $249.99 Echo Studio with Home Camera for room monitoring and showing objects to Alexa. Video calls through Fire TV devices are planned. Amazon says new audio features adjust sound to the room and volume to the listener's location. The standard Echo Studio remains on sale at $219.99.
