Two federal appeals courts rejected Kalshi's latest attempts to block state gambling laws in Connecticut, New York and Nevada, Ars Technica reported. The disputes concern whether those laws apply to Kalshi's prediction market despite its position that its products are swaps subject only to federal commodities regulation. Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin also announced a state lawsuit on Wednesday. He alleged that Kalshi offered gambling to consumers as young as 18 without complying with licensing, tax and other requirements. Arkansas sets a minimum age of 21 for electronic wagering accounts. The Arkansas claims are allegations in a newly filed case.
