Porsche will begin selling an all-electric Cayenne coupe in late summer, adding a sportier body style to the expanding electric lineup of its flagship SUV. The Cayenne Coupe Electric will join the base Cayenne Electric, Cayenne S Electric, and Cayenne Turbo Electric when it reaches market later this year. Unlike the Porsche Macan compact SUV, which will be sold only as an electric vehicle after this year, the coupe EV will remain available alongside gas-powered and hybrid variants well beyond 2030, according to a Porsche spokesperson. Porsche has reason to bet on the coupe format. After introducing a coupe version of the gasoline Cayenne in 2019, the variant captured 20 percent of Cayenne sales within a year. It now accounts for 40 percent of Cayenne sales globally, and in some markets represents as much as 90 percent. The Cayenne Coupe Electric will be offered in three variants. The base model starts at $113,800 before a $2,350 delivery fee. The Cayenne S Coupe Electric starts at $131,200, and the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric starts at $168,000. All versions include an 800-volt powertrain, air suspension, and a shared roof design with a new windshield and adaptive rear spoiler. The vehicle also carries the North American Charging Standard port that Tesla popularized, plus an additional AC charging port. Performance specs vary Porsche has not released EPA range estimates for the coupe EVs. Early real-world testing suggests figures in line with other Cayenne electric variants, or about 360 miles on a single charge.
