Waymo charging draws complaints of hour-long waits in San Diego

Waymo charging draws complaints of hour-long waits in San Diego Image: Primary
Some San Diego electric vehicle drivers say Waymo robotaxis occupying public fast chargers have forced them to wait up to an hour or find another location, Yahoo reported, citing the Los Angeles Times. Waymo serves riders in 15 cities and uses public chargers alongside its dedicated depots. Waymo said it prioritizes its own charging hubs and tries to avoid crowding individual stations, but dedicated facilities can take time to establish in new markets. EVgo said its San Diego chargers are open to both private drivers and robotaxis.
