MasTec to acquire Superior Group for $1.65B to expand data center electrical infrastructure

MasTec said Tuesday it would acquire electrical contractor Superior Group in a 1.65 billion dollar cash and stock deal. The infrastructure engineering and construction firm said the acquisition is expected to add to revenue and profit. It will expand the company's capabilities in the data center infrastructure market. Superior is anticipated to contribute revenue of about 800 million dollars to 900 million dollars and adjusted earnings per share of 50 cents to 65 cents for the rest of 2026. The deal is expected to close by mid to late July. MasTec shares climbed 2 percent in extended trading. The information was reported by Reuters.
