Anthropic upgrades Claude voice mode with more powerful models

Anthropic upgrades Claude voice mode with more powerful models Image: Primary
Anthropic is bringing a long-overdue upgrade to voice mode in Claude today. The upgraded Claude voice mode has new capabilities and works with Opus and Sonnet models for the first time. Before today, Claude voice mode only ran on Anthropic's Haiku model, which favors instant results over deeper thought. This means Claude users who pay for more capable models can now benefit from those when using voice mode. Expanding voice mode to Anthropic's Claude Opus and Claude Sonnet models brings voice mode capabilities in line with Claude's text-based intelligence. The company says users can now switch models during voice mode as well. Voice mode can also work with connectors, bridging Claude chat with tools you use. Anthropic says the upgraded Claude voice mode supports these 11 languages: English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazilian), Spanish (Latin America), and Spanish (Spain). Users can even switch between languages when working with Claude voice mode. Claude voice mode is available on Anthropic's mobile, desktop, and web apps.
