Microsoft adds Claude agent tools to Azure Foundry
Image: Primary Microsoft said five Claude capabilities are now available for deployments hosted on Azure through Microsoft Foundry: Structured Outputs, Web Search, Web Fetch, a Model Context Protocol connector and Tool Search. Claude became generally available in Foundry in June, according to the report. The additions let developers use more Claude-specific agent tooling while keeping deployments in Azure, alongside Foundry support for Anthropic's Messages API, prompt caching, extended thinking and tool streaming.
